The Montgelas-Palais (Palais (Palais (palace))) was errected for the count Monteglas. Montgelas was a politician at the beginning of the 19th century and is regarded as the architect of the new and modern bavaria due to the progressive reforms he introduced. Since 1969 it belongs to the hotel Bayrischer Hof.
