The Fischbrunnen (fountain) is one of the oldest wells in Munich. Here traditionally the journeyman baptism of the butcher apprentices took place. At Aschermittwoch money bags are washed here according to an old custom. At summery days, the Fischbrunnen (fountain) is a popular meetingpoint at the Marienplatz.
